The Mid-Autumn feast shows one of seven welcome ceremonies of Chinese envoys from the era of the Ryukyu Dynasty. In the splendid situation where Shuri Castle is lit up by the harvest moon, you can enjoy classical dance or traditional group dance’s of the Ryukyus. This is a good opportunity to experience Okinawan traditional performances. As well, the festival to elect the King and Queen of Shuri Castle is also carried out in this feast.

Access information

Take the "Yui Rail" from Naha Airport. Get off at Shuri station. A 10-minute walk away.
Take the city bus line number (1, or 17), or the 46 outside the city bus line, and get off at Shurijo-kouen Iriguchi bus stop. About a 5-minute walk to the Shurei-mon gate.
Take the number 8 Shurijo Shitamachi bus line, and get off at Shurijo-mae bus stop, walk about 1-minute and arrive in front of the Shurei-mon gate.
Take the number 9, or number 25 city bus line, get off at the Yamakawa bus stop, walk about 15 minutes and arrive at the Shurei-mon gate.
