Kanagusuku no Taki (Kanagusuku Taki)
History
The land of the Utaki was confiscated and turned in the U.S. military base after the Battel of Okinawa, but it had been protected as a sacred place.
People of Kanagusuku built a place to worship in a direction toward the Utaki and offered prayers. After Okinawa’s revision to Japan, the Utaki was returned to the original locatin as it is today.
