Onoyama Athletic Park
Event
In 1959, it was established as the first athletic park for Okinawa Prefecture. To commemorate Okinawa’s returned to Japan, Okinawa hosted the Wakanatsu National Athletic Meet, the first time the park was used as a main arena. The park offers a variety of sports facilities, such as a baseball stadium; The Tokyo Yomiuri Giants usethis stadium for their spring training; as well, budokan (martial arts hall), tennis courts, an athletics stadium, swimming pools, a Japanese archery hall are featured as well. In addition, many events will be held throughout the year, using the park as the main venue, such as the Naha Festival, Okinawa Industrial Festival, and Naha Marathon. Yui Rail Station and bus stop is near the park which is convenient for going to other places.
